The first five picks of the 2025 NBA Draft are in.

At no. 3, the Philadelphia 76ers selected Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe, a dynamic two-way guard who averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in his lone college season.

The Bahamas native was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year and set a Baylor freshman record with 68 steals.

He is now joining a Sixers team who missed the playoffs despite having former league MVP Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey in the line-up.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets picked Duke sharpshooter Kon Knueppel as the fourth selection.

The Milwaukee native averaged 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while helping the Blue Devils reach the Final Four.

He earned All-ACC and ACC Tournament MVP honors and joined former teammate and top pick Cooper Flagg as the second Duke player to get picked in the NBA Draft.

Utah rounded out the top five by selecting Rutgers forward Ace Bailey, who averaged 17.6 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 35 percent from deep.

A McDonald’s All-American and Mr. Georgia Basketball, Bailey drew praise from NBA star Kevin Durant for his elite shot-making.
