Team USA notches first exhibition win

The USA men's basketball team routed Argentina 108-80 Wednesday (PHT) to capture its first exhibition win.

The USA men’s basketball team will return to the floor Tuesday in Las Vegas with a dominant victory over Argentina, picking up their first win in exhibition play.

1st Quarter
Team USA came out with a purpose in the opening quarter. Bradley Beal got in the lane and found a leaping Bam Adebayo for a thunderous alley-oop on the first possession of the game. The U.S. used their hot shooting touch from beyond the arc (6 3s) to take a 33-19 lead after the first quarter.

2nd Quarter
The second quarter was a highlight-filled period for a U.S., including a double clutch dunk by Zach LaVine, and a strong slam off a slick pass fake by Draymond Green. Team USA took a 58-42 lead advantage into halftime, led by Kevin Durant’s 14 points.

3rd Quarter
The U.S. used a dominant 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 19 going into the final period. The team had balanced scoring, with Durant, Beal, Damian Lillard and Bam Adebayo all in double figures through three quarters.

4th Quarter
Team USA’s stellar 3rd-quarter play carried over into the final period, highlighted by a spectacular poster and-1 slam by Zach LaVine. Five players finished in double figure scoring in the 28-point win. Durant and Beal led the way with 17 points each.
