Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo banner the preliminary rosters of their respective countries for the EuroBasket 2025 tournament.

It will run from August 27 to September 14, 2025, and will take place in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland and will span across two weeks, with the Final Phase and the championship game held at Arena Riga in Latvia.

Jokic banners a loaded Serbian initial squad with other notable NBA players in Bogdan Bogdanovic of the LA Clippers, Nikola Topic of the defending champion OKC Thunder, and Nikola Jovic of the Miami Heat.

Serbia is drawn in Group A alongside host Latvia, former silver medalists Turkey, Czechia, Portugal, and Estonia.

The reigning Olympic bronze medalists are aiming for redemption after their disappointing Round of 16 exit in the 2022 edition, despite having swept the group stage.

Champion big man Kristaps Porzingis, who was traded to the Atlanta Hawks during the offseason, has also been included in the initial roster for Latvia.

Meanwhile, Alperen Sengün of the Houston Rockets makes his presence felt in Turkey's squad.

Dennis Schröder and Franz Wagner will spearhead the reigning FIBA World Cup champions Germany in their quest for a first EuroBasket since 1993.

Die Mannschaft bagged the bronze medal in the 2022 edition after toppling Poland. Joining Germany in Group B are Montenegro, Great Britain, Sweden, Lithuania, and host Finland.

Chicago Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic is set for his fourth and likely final appearance in the EuroBasket with Montenegro.

Another seasoned veteran center in Jonas Valanciunas, who will pair up with Jokic in Denver next season, headlined Lithuania’s initial roster.

2023 NBA Most Improved Player and Utah Jazz’s sweet-shooting big man Lauri Markkanen also led Finland’s initial 16-player-pool.

Antetokounmpo joined his brother Kostas in Greece’s preliminary player pool for the tournament.

The world no. 13 squad will be joined by defending champions Spain, Italy, Georgia, host Cyprus, and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group C for EuroBasket 2025.

For La Roja, eight members of the 2022 EuroBasket championship-winning team are set to return, including key players Santi Aldama, Lorenzo Brown, Dario Brizuela, as well as the Hernangomez brothers, Juancho and Willy.

As for Italy, the two-time EuroBasket champions have a roster featuring a blend of current and former NBA players. This includes Donte DiVincenzo (Minnesota Timberwolves), Simone Fontecchio (Miami Heat), and the likes of Danilo Gallinari, Nicolò Melli, and Matteo Spagnolo, among others.

Jazz big man Jusuf Nurkic and Celtics offseason signee Luka Garza also bannered Bosnia and Herzegovina’ initial 24-man pool.

Meanwhile, a slimmer Doncic is expected to spearhead Slovenia’s championship aspirations in the upcoming EuroBasket 2025.

Back in 2017, the then 18-year-old played a pivotal role in helping Slovenia win its first EuroBasket title and was also named to the All-Tournament Team.

However, a tough competition awaits early for Slovenia with the likes of reigning Olympic silver medalists France, Belgium, Iceland, host Poland, and Israel composing Group D.

Despite the absences of French stars Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, Les Bleus boast the twin tower connection of former top NBA picks in Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr.

Guerschon Yabusele, Bilal Coulibaly, Moussa Diabate, Ousmane Dieng also comprised France’s initial roster.

Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan and Trail Blazers' Deni Avdija also headlined the Poland and Israel preliminary rosters, respectively, for the tournament.
