Stephon Castle capped off his sensational first year for the San Antonio Spurs by being the only unanimous selection into the 2024-25 NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Joining the 2025 Rookie of the Year in the first five are the first and second overall picks of last year’s draft in Zaccharie Risacher of the Atlanta Hawks and Alex Sarr of the Washington Wizards.

Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells of the Grizzlies rounded up the All-Rookie First team, as the duo became the first pair of Memphis teammates since Ja Morant and Brandon Clark in 2020 to be included in the selection in the same season.

Castle averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists in 81 games last season on his way to becoming the fourth Spurs player ever to win the top individual rookie honors. His teammate, French phenom Victor Wembanyama, won the award last season.

As for Risacher and Sarr, the French young studs became the first non-American players from the same country to earn All-Rookie First Team selections in the same season.

Furthermore, Chicago Bulls’ Matas Buzelis, Portland Trail Blazers’ Donovan Clingan, New Orleans Pelicans’ Yves Missi, Miami Heat’s Kel’el Ware, and Wizards’ Bub Carrington made up the All-Rookie Second Team.

The selection of both Sarr and Carrington marks the first time since the 1963-64 season that the Wizards had multiple All-Rookie selections in a single year.
