Caitlin Clark is done for the season.
The Indiana Fever star announced she will miss the rest of the 2025 WNBA campaign after an injury-riddled sophomore year.
"I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season," Clark wrote in a post.
The 2024 Rookie of the Year was limited to just 13 games this season and hasn’t played since July 16, when she suffered a right groin injury in the final minute of the Fever’s win over the Connecticut Sun.
Clark has missed 28 of the Fever’s 41 games this year, including the team’s Commissioner’s Cup win over the Minnesota Lynx in July, the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and the 3-point contest.

Overall, the former Iowa star averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds in her sophomore campaign.
Clark admitted in her statement that the news has been "incredibly frustrating," but thanked fans for their support over the past few months while she was sidelined.
"I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty. I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year. Now it's time to close out the season and claim our spot in the playoffs," she said.
“Caitlin has worked so hard throughout this time, doing everything possible to recover and return to the court. But, ultimately, time is not on our side,” Fever COO and general manager Amber Cox said in a statement.
Indiana is currently clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot with a 21-20 record and three regular-season games left.
The Fever are still battling the Golden State Valkyries (22-18), Seattle Storm (22-20), and Los Angeles Sparks (19-21) for one of three remaining postseason berths.
They will face the Chicago Sky on Saturday, the Washington Mystics on Monday, and close the regular season against the top-seeded Lynx on Wednesday.
