An eight-game NBA Saturday slate featured huge performances from Tyrese Haliburton, Ja Morant and Victor Wembanyama on top of the Denver Nuggets finally winning consecutive games for the first time in over a month.
TYRESE HALIBURTON’S BIG GAME DERAIL SIXERS; NBA-BEST CAVS BOUNCE BACK
- Indiana Pacers (11-15) def. Philadelphia 76ers (7-16), 121-107: Tyrese Haliburton put on a show against a Sixers team playing their Big Three for the first time at home.
- Hali, Yipee, Yehey: Haliburton was back in his usual scoring-playmaking wizardry, finishing with 32 points and 11 assists over the Sixers as former MVP Joel Embiid did not play in the second half after sustaining a sinus fracture.
- Cleveland Cavaliers (22-4) def. Washington Wizards (3-20), 115-105: Three Cavaliers scored in 20 points or more paced by Darius Garland in a bounce-back win at the expense of the Wizards.
- Chicago Bulls (11-15) def. Charlotte Hornets (7-16), 109-95: Josh Giddey’s all-around game led a balanced Bulls offensive outing in a skid-stopping win over the Hornets.
- Phoenix Suns (13-11) def. Utah Jazz (5-19), 134-126: Devin Booker and Kevin Durant joined forces to help the Suns snap a three-game losing skid.
- D Book 🤝Slim Reaper: Booker scored a team-high 34 points while Durant added 30 markers more as Phoenix sent the Jazz reeling to their eight loss in the last nine games.
GRIZZLIES CONTINUE TO RISE AS CLUTCH WEMBY SHOWS UP FOR SPURS
- Memphis Grizzlies (18-5) def. Brooklyn Nets (10-15), 135-119: Make it four-straight wins for the Grizzlies, who now occupied solo second in the loaded Western Conference.
- Itsy, Bitsy, Grizzly: Ja Morant flirted with a triple double of 27 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds as Memphis moved half-a-game ahead of the no. 3 Houston Rockets (17-8) and just two games back of the West no. 1 OKC Thunder (19-5).
- Minnesota Timberwolves (13-11) def. LA Lakers (13-12), 97-87: Anthony Edwards overcame a tweaked ankle to lead the Timberwolves past the LeBron James-less Lakers.

- Denver Nuggets (13-10) def. LA Clippers (14-12), 120-98: The Nuggets gone streaking for the first time in over a month after pulling away in the second half to add to the Clippers’ woes.

- San Antonio Spurs (12-12) def. Portland Trail Blazers (8-16), 118-116: Victor Wembanyama drilled the game-winning freebies in a cardiac Spurs escape of the Trail Blazers.
- Keep Calm and Trust Wemby: Wembanyama took over on the night Chris Paul got ejected late in the opening frame, dropping 28 points, seven rebounds and seven dimes for back-to-back wins.
