Back at home after a three-game road trip, the Minnesota Timberwolves also regained their winning ways.

Anthony Edwards shrugged off a tweaked ankle and fired 23 points, leading the way of a 97-87 Timberwolves bounce-back home dub over the Lakers on Saturday, December 14.

Edwards went to the locker room after an apparent injury with 2:15 left in third but came back with seven minutes left in the game.

Julius Randle added 19 points while McDaniels poured 18 markers and a career-high five steals as the Timberwolves improved to 13-11.

Anthony Davis had a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Lakers,  who now lost for the fourth time in their last games and dropped to 13-12.

Austin Reaves scored 18 markers in his first game after missing five due to a pelvic injury.

LeBron James missed his second straight game, now due to personal reasons after a sore foot prevented the NBA’s all-time leading scorer from suiting up in LA’s 107-98 win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Lakers return home to host the West no. 2 Memphis Grizzlies (18-8) while the Timberwolves visit Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs (12-12) next.
