The Lakers will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the Jazz.

What we like about the Jazz

The Jazz have been one of the surprising teams early in the season. Why? Because they've been winning when everyone has been expecting them to lose after trading away their big stars in the offseason.

Utah is currently 3rd in the West with a 6-3 record, and that's because they've been scoring a lot. The Jazz are third in the league in most 3-pointers made with 14.6.

Lauri Markkanen has been Utah's main scorer with 21.7 points while adding 9.0 rebounds per game. Jordan Clarkson has also been a steady piece on offense with a 17.1 scoring average.

The Jazz are coming off a close loss to the Mavericks where Clarkson had 22 points and eight assists. Let's see if they bounce back into the winning column when they visit LA.

What we like about the Lakers

There was nothing to like about the Lakers in their first five games, which were all losses by the way. Despite getting impressive numbers from LeBron James, they couldn't shoot and were struggling to find any rhythm on offense with Russell Westbrook in the starting five.

?But it seems like their fortunes have changed (for the last two games, at least) after winning notching two straight wins. They took care of business against the Nuggets the other day and needed an extra session (thanks to a game-saving Matt Ryan corner triple) to take down the Pelicans.

Off-the-bench Westbrook has been a revelation for LA fans. As a starter, he averaged 10.3 points (29% FG), 6.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists, but he upped those numbers to 16.3 points (46% FG), 7.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists after he was relegated to a reserve role.

Things are looking up for the Lakers and hopefully, they find a way to string together more wins to climb up the West standings.
