It will mark the NBA’s 34th game in Mexico — the most held in any country outside the United States and Canada. Fittingly, the showdown will fall during Día de Muertos — or ‘Day of the Dead’ — one of Mexico’s most sacred and colorful traditions.

📆 El 1 de noviembre la duela arde.
Detroit will make their third appearance in Mexico, riding the momentum of a historic turnaround.
After finishing with an NBA-worst 14-68 record in 2023-24, the Pistons roared back with a 44-38 campaign in 2024-25, securing the No. 6 seed in the East and ending a nine-year playoff drought.
Led by All-Star Cade Cunningham and rising star Ausar Thompson, the Pistons fell to the New York Knicks in the first round but signaled a new era of competitive basketball in the Motor City.
Dallas, on the other hand, are making their record eighth trip to Mexico with a revamped roster perhaps.
The Mavericks are expected to select Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft later this June.
