Coast-to-Coast: CJ McCollum sizzles for 43; Warriors, Twolves ride high to All-Star break

The last game before the NBA All-Star weekend saw the Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the LA Clippers all riding high on their respective winning streaks. 


CJ MCCOLLUM GOES FOR 43; WARRIORS, CLIPPERS, TWOLVES STAY HOT

  • New Orleans Pelicans (13-42) def. Sacramento Kings (28-27), 140-133: CJ McCollum exploded for his third 40-point game of the season that enabled the Pelicans to snap a 10-game skid via an overtime thriller against the Kings. 

  • CJ 40-piece Incoming: McCollum exploded for 43 points, simply taking over in the extra session by scoring 11 markers alone that marked New Orleans’ first win since January 22. 

  • Golden State Warriors (28-27) def. Houston Rockets (34-21), 105-98: Draymond Green hit a clutch three pointer that doused a late Rockets rally for the Warriors’ third win in the last four games.

  • Minnesota Timberwolves (31-25) def. Oklahoma City Thunder (44-10), 116-101: Naz Reid tallied his first career 25-10-5 game and the Timberwolves put an end to the NBA-best Thunder's seven-game winning run.

  • LA Clippers (30-23) def. Utah Jazz (13-40), 120-116: Norman Powell and James Harden combined for 73 points that paved the way for a third straight Clippers dub at the Jazz’s expense. 

  • Dallas Mavericks (30-26) def. Miami Heat (25-28), 118-113: No Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson, no problem as Dante Exum stepped up to give the Mavericks back-to-back wins.
