Sweet 16 it is for the Golden State Warriors.

Stephen Curry led from the front with 27 points, anchoring a much-needed 105-98 Warriors victory over the Rockets for their 16th dub in the last 17 meetings against Houston, Friday, February 14.

Brandin Podziemski chipped 18 markers, while Jimmy Butler finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Golden State saw its 24-point lead cut down to two at 88-86 after a Aaron Holiday basket early in the fourth. But the Warriors hung on to nab their third dub in the last four games since trading for Butler. They improved to 28-26 to stay in the Play-In territory in the West.

Meanwhile, Holiday took the scoring cudgels for the Rockets with a team-high 25 points. All-Star Alperen Sengun logged a double-double outing of 10 markers and 13 boards. The loss snapped Houston's two straight wins and slipped to 34-21.

Golden State returns to action on the road against the Sacramento Kings (28-26), while Houston hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves (30-25).
