Anthony nailed a third-quarter 3 to score his 27,410th career point, leaving him trailing Shaquille O'Neal for 8th place.

Carmelo Anthony’s coda has continued to crescendo, as the Lakers forward — recently named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team — passed another legend on the all-time points leaderboard.

With a third-quarter 3-pointer, Anthony vaulted Moses Malone (27,409) for 9th place, with Shaquille O’Neal and his 28,596 points the next target.

Anthony, the 2012-13 NBA scoring champ (28.7 ppg), has logged eight seasons of at least 25-point averages. Even as he enters a third full season of bench play, Anthony carries a career average of 23.0 ppg on 44.7% shooting, including 35.4% from 3.
