Additionally, the NBA also revealed that it is set to host regular-season games in Manchester and Paris in 2027, as well as in Berlin and Paris in 2028 with specific dates and participating teams to be revealed.
The Berlin game will mark the league’s first regular-season matchup in Germany, though 13 games have been played in the country since 1984.
It will also serve as a homecoming for Magic brothers Moe and Franz Wagner, who are both from Berlin.
“Growing up here, we dreamed of moments like this. It’s a huge honor to represent Berlin and Germany and show how much the city and country love basketball. We hope we can inspire kids the way we were inspired watching games from afar,” the Wagner brothers said in a statement.
Their teammate Tristan da Silva, who is from Munich, also adds to the significance of the duel in Germany.
The Orlando Magic, who will play their fourth and fifth games in Europe, will be eager eager to make a splash next season led by All-Star Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, and new addition Desmond Bane.
Meanwhile, multi-time All-Stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. will banner the Grizzlies in their first-ever games in Berlin and London.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Zach Edey, Jaylen Wells, and Cedric Coward are also expected to beef up a Memphis squad aiming to rebound from their early playoff exit last season.
The London game will be the league’s 19th overall in the UK and 10th regular-season matchup in the city.
Looking ahead, the Manchester game will mark the NBA’s first regular-season game in the city, following a preseason game there in 2013.
Meanwhile, the 2027 Paris game will be the sixth regular-season contest in the French capital, further solidifying the league’s enduring presence and tradition of bringing top-tier basketball to France.
