Collier was coming off a strong 19-point, nine-rebound outing in the Lynx's close 73-70 defeat in Game 1. Games 3 and 4 of the series will now shift to Connecticut starting on Saturday, October 5 (PH Time).
Minnesota built their biggest lead at 15 points when Smith scored on a put back to make it 66-51 with 7:14 seconds left in regulation.
Connecticut only managed to negate the lead to seven points at most, as the Lynx knocked down eight total triples and limited the Sun to 36% shooting.
