Caitlin Clark is set to make her much-anticipated debut in the WNBA 3-point contest, and she’ll have no shortage of tough competition in a stacked field.
The All-Star captain will battle defending champion Allisha Gray, 2023 title record-breaker Sabrina Ionescu, Washington Mystics’ Sonia Citron, and LA Sparks’ Kelsey Plum in the long-distance shootout set for Saturday, July 19 (PH time).
Before leading her squad against Team Collier in the main event of the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, Clark will aim for her first 3-point contest title since entering the league last season.
Last year, Gray made history by sweeping both the long-distance and Skills Challenge titles.
THE MOMENT.

In the Skills Challenge this year, she will face Natasha Cloud of the New York Liberty and Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler of the Seattle Storm.
Ionescu, for her part, will make her second appearance in the 3-point contest. She won the event in 2023 and set both a WNBA and NBA single-round record with 37 points in the final round.
Meanwhile, Minnesota’s Kayla McBride is stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard in the All-Star Game.
She will join a team captained by her teammate Napheesa Collier and reserve guard Courtney Williams — making it three Lynx players on the same squad.

Howard will miss the rest of July due to a knee injury, allowing McBride, who is averaging 14 points and shooting nearly 38% from beyond the arc this season, to make her third career All-Star selection.
