Tyrese Haliburton went from falling short of a championship ring to slipping one onto his college sweetheart’s finger in just a month.
Haliburton proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Jade Jones, and the couple celebrated the exciting news of their engagement with a heartfelt post on social media.
“The place where our journey began, and where our next chapter begins,” the Indiana Pacers superstar wrote in an Instagram post, alongside several photos and a video of the proposal.
The 25-year-old chose a meaningful location to propose— Iowa State University, where they first met six years ago as student-athletes.
Their paths crossed when Haliburton played basketball and Jones was a cheerleader, and they celebrated their sixth anniversary this past April.
"6 whole years of loving you. Every single day you continue to amaze me!! You make this world shine so incredibly bright and I’m so lucky to spend life by your side," Jones wrote on Instagram in honor of the milestone.
She added, "You are so special to me, our love is one in a million—My best friend forever & ever!! I love you."
Now, the couple is ready to take the next big step in their relationship.
Haliburton is expected to miss the entire 2025-26 season with the Pacers as he recovers from his Achilles injury.
