What went down
The San Antonio Spurs had a lot to worry about as Devin Booker was available for the Suns after getting sidelined with an injury. However, Victor Wembanyama put on a masterclass by mounting a career-high 38 points alongside 10 boards and two monster blocks.
It’s only been five games for the wunderkind but Wemby is already showing everyone why he’s good as advertised.

The 76ers, meanwhile, remained perfect at home as they took down the Toronto Raptors, 114-99. The Sixers are looking good and seem to have adjusted immediately in their first game following the James Harden trade.
Other games of the day featured the Pelicans outlasting the Pistons behind Cade Cunningham’s double-double of 22 points and 11 assists and the Orlando Magic snatching a win from Utah Jazz after a clutch layup by Paolo Banchero.
Big-time baller
The biggest baller of the night would be Paolo Banchero.
Banchero led the way for the Magic with 30 points, including the game-winning drive.

What he said
KD on Wemby:

"He is going to create his own lane, much different than anybody who's ever played."

We definitely loved every second of the Wemby-KD matchup. Kevin Durant is the player that Wemby may arguably have the closest similarity to in terms of skill and size. The former MVP knows that but he believes the star rookie is a unique player that will do great things..
Did you see that?
We always see reels of Nikola Jokic making incredible passes. But this time, reigning MVP, Joel Embiid, shows us he has that in his bag as well.
