What went down

Kevin Durant made his home debut in Phoenix as the Suns scored a huge win over the Timberwolves to solidify their playoff position as the fourth seed.

Durant made a splash during the trade deadline after he left Brooklyn and headed to The Valley. He played three games on the road before injuring his left ankle during warmups in what would have been his home debut.

Durant missed the last 10 games but still had 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, overcoming a poor shooting night against the Timberwolves who saw their four-game winning streak snapped. The two-time Finals MVP was 5-for-18 from the field in nearly 29 minutes of play. Fortunately for the Suns, Devin Booker continued his stellar play this season and dropped 29 points and Chris Paul added 19.

Anthony Edwards tallied 31 points for the Timberwolves who remain outside of the top six in the West with a 39-38 record.

Big-time ballers

A pair of Bucks deserve our big-time baller honors. Jrue Holiday had the best scoring game of his career with a 51-point explosion versus the Pacers. He went 20-for-30 from the field, including three triples and eight shots from the foul line to become the sixth player in franchise history to score 50 points. He also added eight rebounds and eight assists in an all-around effort.

Speaking of filling the stat sheet, Giannis Antetokounmpo also had himself a night with a 38-point triple-double. The two-time MVP had 17 rebounds and 12 assists to go along with his point total in just 32 minutes of play.

What he said

Even KD needs a reminder every now and then of how great he is. Fortunately, Monty Williams always seems to know what to say at the most opportune time.

Did you see that?

The Sacramento Kings are headed to the playoffs for the first time in 2006. Holding a 46-30 record, they are third in the West. The 16-season wait was the longest postseason drought in the NBA.
