What went down
It was a monumental clash between the Philadelphia 76ers, led by MVP candidate Joel Embiid, and Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors.
It was close throughout the game, with Embiid and Curry trading big blows and highlights. Unfortunately for the Sixers, Curry was still scorching hot.
He already broke a Wilt Chamberlain record, but that still wasn't enough for Curry. He became the first player to hit 70 3s in 10 games. He also was the first player since Kobe Bryant with 10 consecutive 30-point games at age 33 or older. He left Philly with 49 points on 14-for-28 shooting.

For April, Curry's averaging nearly 41 points on 56 percent shooting from the field and 49 percent from deep. When Steph has it going, he doesn’t just take over a game, he takes over the league. Probably no one is more fun to watch.
The Warriors have needed him to be legendary. Their win in Philly improves their record to 29-29, still sitting precariously in ninth in the West within the play-in tournament. The prospects of Curry needing to fight for his team's life in a series of play-in games should excite any fan.
Big-time baller
Truly, no baller was more big-time than Curry today, so we’ll give this section to the likely MVP. In a classic back-and-forth double overtime game, Nikola Jokic came up big and propelled the Denver Nuggets past the Memphis Grizzlies.
JOKER. TAKES. OVER.

Jokic had 47 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists – all team-highs. The Joker is having the best season of his career and is already being talked about as the best passing center of all-time. The Nuggets may have lost Jamal Murray for the season, but just having Jokic still gives them a good chance in the playoffs.
Ja Morant also deserves some of the spotlight. The 36 points and 12 assists were incredible. But Morant's attempt at ending the game in overtime with a self-oop off the backboard was audacious. He might have broken the internet had he made that.
What he said
Chris Paul passed Magic Johnson for fifth in the all-time assists leaders with 10,145 career dimes. Add that to the many accolades the 36-year old has compiled throughout his career, but he made it clear he still wants more.

Did you see that?
In the ESPN broadcast of the Sixers-Warriors game, microphone Picasso Mike Breen pointed out that Sixers' forward Matisse Thybulle was named after French Impressionist artist Henri Matisse.
Matisse Thybulle is mostly known for his brutalist work on defense, but he performed a nice piece of expressionist dunking today.
