Josh Giddey is staying in the Windy City.
NBA senior insider Shams Charania reported that Giddey and the Chicago Bulls agreed to a four-year, $100-million contract.
The new long-term deal secures the 22-year-old Australian guard as one of the franchise’s cornerstones.
Giddey is coming off a career season, averaging 14.6 points while posting career highs in rebounds (8.1), assists (7.2), steals (1.2), and 3-point shooting (37.8%).
He recorded seven triple-doubles, the second most in a season in Bulls history, trailing Michael Jordan’s 15 in 1988-89.
Acquired in a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder along with guard Alex Caruso last year, Giddey finished the 2024-25 season with 1,022 points, 566 rebounds, and 503 assists.
His numbers surged after the All-Star break and following the trade of Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings.
Over his final 30 games, Giddey averaged 18.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 7.8 assists while shooting 49% from the field and 43.6% from 3-point range.
The former No. 6 overall selection in the 2021 NBA Draft earned NBA Rising Stars selections in each of his first two seasons, as well as 2021-22 All-Rookie Second Team honors during his rookie campaign.
Chicago made their third straight Play-In Tournament appearance last season, but again fell short of the playoffs after losing to the Miami Heat in the battle for the East's no. 8 seed.
