A Chicago native, Rose was selected first overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Bulls and quickly became one of the league’s brightest young stars with his blend of athleticism and fearless play.
He won the 2009 Rookie of the Year award, earned three consecutive All-Star nods, and at 22 became the youngest MVP in league history after averaging 25.0 points and 7.7 assists while leading Chicago to a 62-20 record and an Eastern Conference Finals appearance in 2011.
But his career trajectory shifted after tearing his ACL in the 2012 playoffs. He missed the entire following season and was limited to 10 games in 2013-14 season.

In 15 seasons, Rose averaged 17.4 points and 5.2 assists in 723 games, including 518 starts. He played 77 games across his final three years in the league.
