Luka Doncic’s encore triple-double was just too much for the young Rockets while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the Celtics past the Clippers.

Scoreboard

Hornets 121, Thunder 113

Pacers 135, Cavaliers 126

Celtics 116, Clippers 110

Grizzlies 119, Raptors 106

Spurs 122, Knicks 115

Mavericks 129, Rockets 114

What went down

Following his 60-point triple-double against the Knicks two days ago, Luka Doncic looks like he isn’t taking his foot off the gas pedal anytime soon.

If you’re a basketball fan, this Luka guy is definitely worth watching because of the number he’s been putting up every night. Watching him score his 21st point in the first half with a 35-footer at the buzzer from a baseline catch was a beauty for the ages.

He recorded another triple-double to beat the visiting Rockets with his 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 dishes. Luka’s encore triple-double was his eighth this year, the best number this NBA season.

Now, we can’t say that the young Houston team didn’t give their all in their attempt to slow down the mad talent of Luka. They grabbed the first lead early in the game but the Mavs outscored them in the next three quarters. Rising star Jalen Green had 23 points while Kevin Porter Jr. had 17 but their output came up short versus the high-shooting team Dallas.

Christian Wood stepped up tonight by hitting five 3s and posting a season-high five blocks for the Mavs. Dwight Powell added more fire to the Dallas lead with 19 points off the bench.

Big-time ballers

Ja Morant had a good number of highlight plays tonight after finishing with 19 points and a career-high 15 dimes. He also had this solid hammer in their takedown of Toronto. Absolute masterclass.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George should have been the heroes of the game recaps tonight after leading their L.A squad with 26 and 24 points, respectively. However, the Celtics proved too much for them as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown paced Boston with 29 points apiece.

What he said

PG sees the chemistry between Tatum and Brown and would love to see them play for a long time in their careers. I mean, who wouldn’t?

Did you see that?

LaMelo Ball was doing it all tonight. His 27 points, 10 boards, and nine assists secured a Charlotte win over the Thunder. Look at this no-look pass in transition to give P.J Washington Jr. his season-high third dunk of the match.
