What went down

The Denver Nuggets had a typical Denver Nuggets game – they got a monster stat line from Nikola Jokic, who also happened to make the game-winning play.

In the second game of back-to-back on the road, the Nuggets escaped the Toronto Raptors, thanks to a late block from Jokic that prevented OG Anunoby from winning the game for the Raptors.

The reigning MVP finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists to end the Raptors’ six-game win streak, adding to his growing MVP resumé for this season.

On the other end of the continent, LeBron James passed became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history, including both the regular season and the playoffs, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Although it’s technically not the all-time crown everyone celebrates, this put into perspective just how great James has been for so long.

Typical for James’ Los Angeles Lakers this year, they just couldn’t pull off a win despite historic feats from The King. The Golden State Warriors let a 15-point first-half lead evaporate, but still held on in crunch time.

The Warriors maintained their second place seat in the West, improving to 42-15. The Lakers, on the other hand, continued to fall in the standings, spiraling to ninth with a 26-31 slate.

Big time baller

After stopping by his biggest hater's funeral, Joel Embiid decided it was also time to bury the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Embiid slammed in 40 points to go with 14 rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals. He just showed that the Sixers are title contenders as long as he’s healthy.

What he said

First-time All-Star Dejounte Murray had a monster game to lead the San Antonio Spurs past the New Orleans Pelicans, dropping 31 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds. But he did have one turnover – a sin he knew he'd had to repent for with the Point God.

Did you see that?

This reunion between James Harden and Daryl Morey might be as stirring as Red finding Andy at the end of The Shawkshank Redemption.
