In 2023, teenager Cooper Flagg posed on the cover of Slam Magazine in a Duke jersey as a star prospect. Two years later, he's back on the cover as the top draft pick by the Dallas Mavericks.

Cooper Flagg hasn’t played a single NBA game yet, but the Dallas Mavericks rookie is already gracing his second Slam Magazine cover.

For the second time, the 2025 Draft top pick appears on the cover of the renowned sports magazine, holding a basketball with the bold caption, “What’s pressure?”

Flagg first appeared on the cover in December 2023 after committing to Duke University and spent his lone college season there leading the team to a Final Four appearance.

The 18-year-old phenom from Newport, Maine enters the league as one of the most hyped prospects in recent memory — a generational talent expected to make an immediate impact with the Mavericks.

“For me, it’s just about loving to win and embracing the competition. I’ve always wanted to win more than anything else. It all stems from there,” Flagg said in an interview with the magazine.

With the Mavericks, he joins a roster filled with winners, including NBA champions Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson.

In summer league play last month, Flagg gave Dallas fans a taste of his potential, averaging 20.5 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals over two games.

With training camp opening next month, Flagg is expected to compete for Rookie of the Year and step into a pivotal role alongside co-stars Irving and Davis.

Flagg and the Mavericks will open their 2025-26 campaign against fellow rookie and Fil-Am Dylan Harper and the San Antonio Spurs in an early showdown between the top two picks in this year’s Draft.
