What went down

The bright courts were out today as the league had another round of In-Season Tournament play. If the In-Season Tournament still feels confusing, here's an explainer.

The final game had plenty of fireworks as the Los Angeles Lakers escaped the Phoenix Suns for their first taste of tournament play.

After not facing each other since 2018, LeBron James and Kevin Durant have had a couple of classic matchups this season. Today’s encounter had James going for 32 points and 11 rebounds while Durant scored 38 points.

But it was Cam Reddish who proved pivotal for the Lakers. Making his first start of the season, Reddish dropped 17 points with five triples, which included the shot that iced the game for the Lakers.

Big-time baller

It was a shoot-out in Dallas today and the Mavericks had the biggest gun, namely Luka Doncic.

It feels like ever since Doncic debuted in the NBA, he’s had classic games against the Clippers. Today, he hung 44 points with six rebounds and six assists on Los Angeles. He also made history, becoming the third player 25 years old or younger to have 30 games with at least 40 points. He joined Michael Jordan and LeBron James on the prestigious list.

What he said

Anthony Edwards is a generational talker. Check out what he said about his matchup with Jayson Tatum this week, when the Minnesota Timberwolves handed the Boston Celtics their first loss.

Did you see that?

He may not be able to survive John Wick and a book, but Boban Marajanovic can certainly help us regular-sized people with our vertical problems.

Extra pass

At 9:30 AM tomorrow on NBA League Pass, the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Golden State Warriors. It’s the first matchup between two of the most exciting teams in the West, but most importantly, it’s Steph Curry vs. Ant Edwards.

Curry is still torching defenses at 35 years old, averaging 30.0 points and an absurd 5.9 triples. Edwards is having the most efficient stretch of his career, dropping 27.9 points on 50.0 percent shooting this season.
