What went down
After going on a six-game losing streak, the Chicago Bulls are finally gaining some momentum and have now won two games in a row following their win against the Indiana Pacers.
It was in the second quarter when the Bulls started to heat up. An early 15-3 run led by Coby White brought the lead up to 12. The Bulls took control of the boards with 36 rebounds at the half, giving them 14 second looks, while the Pacers only tallied 17 rebounds and zero second chance points.
The team took full advantage of the absence of Indiana’s key players, All-Star Domantas Sabonis and last game’s leading scorer Malcolm Brogdon. Unfortunately, Myles Turner suffered an ankle sprain early in the third, putting the Pacers at a greater disadvantage.
The Pacers started creeping in at the start of the fourth quarter when they tallied a 10-0 run, but the deficit was far too great to overcome.
Nikola Vucevic led all scorers with 32 points, and added 17 rebounds. Five other Bulls tallied double digits including Zach Lavine, Lauri Markkanen and Thaddeus Young.
Caris LeVert had 20 points for the Pacers, while Jeremy Lamb and Edmond Sumner scored 15 points each.
Big-time baller
Joel Embiid is really back. He had 35 points and six rebounds against the Boston Celtics, leading his team to a 106-96 win. His performance marked his first 30-point game since March 11. The MVP candidate has been averaging incredible numbers with 29.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

What he said
“When there is a problem affecting one part of the world, it becomes the responsibility of every human being on the planet.”
Dikembe Mutombo and the rest of the NBA Cares team hosted a Twitter broadcast titled “NBA Health Equity Roundtable.” In the discussions, resource speakers talked about the issues of public health and how important it is to have equitable access to healthcare especially for minority groups. They focused on the systemic inequality that is hounding the United States and how that has affected people during the pandemic.
