What went down

The Bucks remain the only undefeated team in the NBA. Milwaukee improved to 5-0 after besting the Atlanta Hawks, 123-115. Giannis Antetokounmpo powered his way to 34 points and 17 rebounds, outgunning Trae Young who had 42 points on 15-of-32 shooting.

It was a nip-and-tuck affair for the two East playoff contenders. After a putback dunk from Antetokounmpo to make it a three-point game, 114-111, Dejounte Murray answered with his own jumper with a little over a minute left. Giannis provided another clutch basket off a turnaround as Young replied with a 15-footer. The dust finally settled after Jrue Holiday scored to make it 118-115 and the Hawks were called for an offensive foul on the other end. The Bucks then iced the game at the line.

There were other rumblings in the East as the Pacers took down the Nets, 125-116, thanks to the 1-2 punch of Bennedict Mathurin (32 points) and Tyrese Haliburton (26 points and eight assists). In Chicago, the visiting 76ers nabbed a 114-109 victory to improve to 3-4 on the season.

Big-time baller

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gets the nod as our big-time baller because on top of his 38-point, 6-rebound, 9-assist performance, the Thunder stunned the Mavericks in overtime. OKC unleashed an 18-2 run in the last four minutes to force the extra session. It was a thrilling road victory and SGA was at the forefront.

What she said

Not only did Kings fan experience their first win of the season, but they also witnessed this heartwarming moment:

What’s in a number?

The Los Angeles Lakers remain the only winless team in the league. According to ESPN Stats & Info, this is just the second time in franchise history (1957-1958 season) that they are the lone team who have yet to earn a victory. It is also the first time a LeBron James-led team has the league-worst record.
