James Harden and Joel Embiid led the way as the 76ers rallied hard in the fourth to put a stop to the Bucks’ 16-game winning run.

Scoreboard

Raptors 116, Wizards 109 (OT)

Cavaliers 114, Pistons 90

Heat 117, Hawks 109

Rockets 122, Spurs 110

76ers 133, Bucks 130

Timberwolves 138, Kings 134

What went down

The 76ers put an emphatic end to the Bucks’ 16-game win streak with a hard-fought, three-point victory.

Milwaukee was in a position to extend its streak, leading 125-121, but James Harden connected on a triple to cut the deficit to a single point. After a stop, it was Joel Embiid’s turn to drill a 3-pointer to give the Sixers the lead. They sealed the win by shooting their shots from the foul line.

Harden and Embiid combined for 69 points to lead Philadelphia. Tyrese Maxey was right behind with 26 points.

The Bucks built an 18-point lead in the latter part of the third quarter spearheaded by Grayson Allen’s hot shooting. He scored 20 points, punctuated by six treys as he helped his team establish a 99-85 advantage heading into the final frame. But the Sixers went on a frantic rally to start the fourth before taking over the contest.

Big-time baller

James Harden churned out a vintage performance in Philadelphia’s streak-busting win over the Bucks. He had 38 points on 11-for-26 shooting, including 11-for-11 from the stripe, plus five triples. He almost had a triple-double as he finished with nine rebounds and 10 assists.

It was Harden’s highest point total as a member of the 76ers.

What he said

Even Jalen McDaniels was surprised and impressed by what his teammates did.

Did you see that?

Ja Morant will miss at least the next two games for Memphis as the NBA is set to investigate after he posted an Instagram Live video where it appeared he had a gun in a club. After the incident, the All-Star guard issued a statement saying he takes “full responsibility” for his actions. He also said, “I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”
