Dylan Harper is officially a San Antonio Spur.

The franchise announced on Friday (PH time), July 4 that it had signed the second overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Per team policy, terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Harper became the highest-drafted player in Spurs history outside of no. 1 picks David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Victor Wembanyama.

The 19-year-old Filipino-American star arrives in San Antonio after a record-setting freshman season with the Scarlet Knights, where he averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals in 29 games.

He also set Rutgers’ single-season freshman scoring mark with 564 total points, reaching double figures in 24 games and notching 20 or more in 20 contests.

Harper is widely regarded as the second-best prospect in the 2025 class and a centerpiece of San Antonio’s rebuilding efforts alongside Wembanyama.

While he won’t debut at the California Classic this weekend due to a mild groin injury, the Spurs are hopeful Harper will make his Summer League debut next week in Las Vegas.
