Dylan Harper is officially a San Antonio Spur.
The franchise announced on Friday (PH time), July 4 that it had signed the second overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Per team policy, terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Harper became the highest-drafted player in Spurs history outside of no. 1 picks David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Victor Wembanyama.

The 19-year-old Filipino-American star arrives in San Antonio after a record-setting freshman season with the Scarlet Knights, where he averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals in 29 games.
He also set Rutgers’ single-season freshman scoring mark with 564 total points, reaching double figures in 24 games and notching 20 or more in 20 contests.
Harper is widely regarded as the second-best prospect in the 2025 class and a centerpiece of San Antonio’s rebuilding efforts alongside Wembanyama.
While he won’t debut at the California Classic this weekend due to a mild groin injury, the Spurs are hopeful Harper will make his Summer League debut next week in Las Vegas.

In the same announcement, the Spurs also signed no. 14 overall pick Carter Bryant, a 6-foot-7 forward out of Arizona. Bryant averaged 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and shot 37.1% from three in his lone season with the Wildcats.
