Brandon Ingram’s tenure in New Orleans is over.
Per NBA senior insider Shams Charania, the Pelicans are parting ways with Ingram after trading the 27-year-old forward to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Bruce Brown Jr., Kelly Olynyk, along with a couple of first-round and second-round picks.

Ingram has been out for nearly two months due to an ankle injury and last played on December 8 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In 18 games this season, the no. 2 overall pick of the 2016 draft averaged 22.1 points 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.
He began his career with the Lakers in 2016 and played with that franchise for three seasons, before he was shipped to New Orleans as part of a trade package that sent Anthony Davis to LA in 2019.
In nine seasons with the Pelicans, Ingram put up impressive numbers of 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists.
He will now be teaming up with Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett in Toronto, as the Raptors look to build their core for the future.
In return, the Pels acquired Brown, a former NBA champion with the Denver Nuggets, who appeared in 17 games for Toronto this season, averaging 8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Olynyk will be in his sixth team in his career and appeared in 23 games with Toronto this season norming seven points per game.
