Haliburton had been playing through a right calf strain and got off to a hot start, scoring nine of Indiana’s first 14 points — all on three-pointers — in just seven minutes before the injury.
Entering Game 7, Haliburton was averaging 14.8 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.3 rebounds in the title series. In an additional report on the broadcast, Lisa Salters said Haliburton's father John confirmed that Tyrese suffered a torn Achilles tendon.
However, the Pacers entered halftime with a 48-47 lead with Pascal Siakam leading the way with 10 points.
