Kevin Quiambao shot his shot — but for now, the NBA will have to wait.
The Kings released their 14-man Summer League roster, and Quiambao’s name was notably absent despite a recent training stint in Sacramento and growing buzz around his NBA aspirations.
Incoming sophomore Devin Carter and recent draftees Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud headline the Kings’ lineup for the tournament, set from July 10 to 20 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Additionally, 2025 G League champions Isaac Jones and Isaiah Crawford of the Stockton Kings will return for their second stint in Las Vegas.
Sacramento opens its Summer League campaign against the Orlando Magic on Friday (PH time), July 11, before facing the Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, and Cleveland Cavaliers in its following outings.
Quiambao had previously revealed his plans to undergo personal training in the U.S., with hopes of landing a spot on an NBA Summer League team — with Sacramento as his first stop.

He trained with Sam Luong, a well-regarded development coach associated with the Kings, in a session that also featured NCAA Division I talents, as seen in a series of his Instagram Stories last week.
While the Goyang Sono Skygunner won’t suit up in Las Vegas just yet, there will still be a strong Filipino presence on the Kings’ bench.
Former Gilas Pilipinas captain Jimmy Alapag is part of Sacramento’s revamped Summer League coaching staff, which will be led by assistant coach Dipesh Mistry.
The staff also includes Will Scott, Garrius Adams, Shandon Goldman, Dane Johnson, Lindo Sibankulu, Jason Maxiell, and Mate Jakab.

With the KBL still in its offseason, Quiambao is keeping his window to the NBA open. For now, his name isn’t on the Summer League sheet — but his dream is still very much alive.
