In the middle of superstar Jimmy Butler’s trade rumors, the streaking Miami Heat are riding their best stretch of the season on the night the Sacramento Kings’ big man Domantas Sabonis finished with a monster 30-20 game. 


SABONIS DROPS 30-20 GAME FOR KINGS; HEAT CRUISE TO FOURTH-STRAIGHT WIN 

  • Sacramento Kings (13-13) def. New Orleans Pelicans (5-21), 111-109: Domantas Sabonis put up a league-leading 22nd double-double as the Kings claimed their third straight win. 

  • Just a Day in the Office: Sabonis muscled his way to a 32-point, 20-rebound outing, his second-career 30-20 game to help the Kings racked up their fourth win in the last five games. 
  • Miami Heat (13-10) def. Toronto Raptors (7-19), 114-104: The Heat rose to the fifth spot in the East and seemed to be unbothered by superstar Jimmy Butler’s trade rumors swirling this week. 

  • Congrats, Spo: Tyler Herro paced Miami with 23 points, Bam Adebayo collected a 21-point, 16-rebound double-double on the same night head coach Erik Spoelstra passed Nate McMillan for the 18th spot in the all-time coaching wins with 763. 
  • Boston Celtics (20-5) def. Detroit Pistons (10-16), 123-99: Payton Pritchard solidified his case as the frontrunner for the NBA’s Sixth Man of Year award after another remarkable game off the bench for the defending champion Celtics.
