Nuggets complete 15-point comeback over Grizzlies to regain solo fourth in crowded West

With the game hanging in the balance, the Denver Nuggets turned to their superstar duo to deliver the goods.

Nikola Jokic and a returning Jamal Murray scored 10 of the Nuggets’ final 12 points that completed a 117-109 comeback victory against the Memphis Grizzlies, Saturday, April 12.

Jokic finished with 26 markers, 16 rebounds, and 12 assists for his 34th triple-double of the season in a critical victory that helped Denver regained solo fourth and inside the West top six.

Murray, who played for the first time following a six-game absence with an injured right hamstring, added 15 points including hitting a mid-range jumper that gave the Nuggets a slim 110-108 lead with under four minutes left to play.

Aaron Gordon uncorked 31 markers to lead Denver in scoring as the 2023 champions are now hold a half-game lead over the fifth-running LA Clippers (48-32). 

Meanwhile, Desmond Bane had a 24 while Ja Morant chipped in 21 in a losing effort for Memphis as they dropped 47-34.

The Nuggets will play their final regular season game in Houston against the Rockets (52-28). Meanwhile, the Grizzlies take on the Dallas Mavericks (39-42).
