Luka Doncic to the Lakers is for real.
The Los Angeles Lakers officially announce the acquisition of Luka early Monday (PHL), some 14 hours after it was initially reported that Doncic was on his way to the Lake Show after a mega blockbuster deal with the Dallas Mavericks for Anthony Davis.
“No. 77 has arrived,” the team said.

First reported by NBA Insider Shams Charania, the Utah Jazz were also involved as the third team to complete the move.
Luka Doncic was drafted third overall in the 2018 Draft and is a Rookie of the Year, Scoring Champion, five-time All-Star, and five-time All-NBA First Team with the Mavericks.
During his time with Dallas, which included six full seasons, he made the playoffs four times and the NBA Finals last year. Doncic also had the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals in 2022.
This season, despite only playing 22 games due to injury, Doncic is averaging 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 2.0 steals.
Aside from Luka, the Lakers also got Maxi Kleber from the deal, as well as 2020 Lakers champion Markieff Morris.
