MANILA – The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced that LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers secured the top spots on the NBA’s Most Popular Jersey and Team Merchandise lists in the Philippines, respectively, for the first time in tandem since the 2020-21 season.
Results are based on sales from the NBA Stores in SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia and NBAStore.com.ph, the official online NBA Store in the Philippines, which are collectively operated by TITAN, for the first half of the 2024-25 regular season.
Going for second in the team merchandise list are items from the Chicago Bulls, followed by the Golden State Warriors, the Phoenix Suns, and the Dallas Mavericks.
This is the Suns' debut on the Most Popular Team Merchandise list, given the rise of superstar duo Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
For the jerseys list, Golden State's Stephen Curry ranks second. Recently-turned Laker Luka Doncic is third, based on the Dallas Mavericks jersey sales from the start of the season until December 31, 2024.
Doncic's former teammate, Kyrie Irving, ranks fourth. Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler figures in fifth place.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Hornets' LaMelo Ball and Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander make their debut on the Most Popular Jersey list of the Philippines at sixth and eighth place, respectively.
Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum is seventh, Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo is ninth, while Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant rounds up the top 10.
Five players on the list have been named starters and reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, which will be held on Monday, Feb. 17 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
