The NBA came down hard on a set of fines following a series of incidents in the 2024-25 season.
Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers was fined $25,000 for public criticism of NBA officiating. Rivers made his piece after the Bucks lost 115-114 to Charlotte, which dropped the team to 4-9.
Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards was fined $35,000 for his obscene gesture on the court during the first quarter of the Timberwolves’ eventual 130-126 win over the Sacramento Kings.
Meanwhile, the Hornets’ LaMelo Ball got the worst of the penalties, receiving a $100,000 fine for making an offensive and derogatory comment in an interview post-game of Charlotte’s victory over the Bucks.
Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars announced the infractions.
