Seventy-five years ago, the NBA’s first steps were taken in front of 7,090 fans at Maple Leaf Gardens.
New York and Toronto were the opening act of what has become a multi-generational performance since, and on Monday they and the league remembered the iconic first game in league history that has since spawned generations of basketball talent and fans.
