Jonathan Kuminga isn’t done — and neither are the Golden State Warriors.
And neither is the guessing game surrounding one of the most intriguing storylines of this year’s NBA free agency.
According to senior NBA insider Anthony Slater, Kuminga, his agent Aaron Turner, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr., and head coach Steve Kerr are planning a face-to-face meeting during NBA Summer League in Las Vegas if no deal is finalized before then.
Here's the latest on Jonathan Kuminga's restricted free agency. The Kings floated an offer. The Wizards have generated some notable interest. A return to the Warriors is still on the table. It remains unresolved after four days.

A return to Golden State is still “very much on the table,” per Slater, but other teams are starting to line up.
If no progress is made with the Warriors soon, Kuminga and his camp are reportedly expected to meet with interested teams face-to-face while in Las Vegas.
Several teams have shown varying levels of interest in the 22-year-old, including the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, and Brooklyn Nets, as Slater reported.
Slater also revealed that the Sacramento Kings made a formal push this week, offering a three-team sign-and-trade package that would’ve sent Kuminga to Sacramento in exchange for Devin Carter, Dario Šaric, and two second-round picks. Golden State declined, viewing the proposal as a “low-ball offer.”
Now, there’s a new team in the mix: the Washington Wizards. Slater reported that the idea of Kuminga as a foundational piece in Washington’s rebuild has gained “real momentum.”
The Wizards, who finished last in the East with just 18 wins, are focusing on youth — specifically around Bub Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, and rookie Alex Sarr. They’ve also brought in veterans CJ McCollum and Khris Middleton to help stabilize the locker room.

Kuminga, who was selected seventh overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, is coming off his best season yet. He averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and shot 53% from the field while starting 46 games for the Warriors last season.
Golden State, for its part, is holding firm on its asking price: a promising young player and a first-round pick, according to Slater.
