A total of five players were handed out suspensions by the NBA in the aftermath of the Detroit Pistons-Minnesota Timberwolves scuffle.
Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart received a two-game ban without pay with the league citing the penalty imposed on the big man is largely "in part on his repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts.”
Meanwhile, Stewart’s teammates in Ron Holland and Marcus Sasser alongside Minnesota Timberwolves’ Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo drew a one-game suspension without pay.

It all started after Holland fouled Reid on a lay-up attempt that the latter did not appreciate. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year then had words for Holland and pointed toward his face.
DiVincenzo stepped in to pacify the situation between the two, but ended up putting his hands on Holland as things escalated quickly.
Both players, alongside Reid, got entangled and fell into the spectator stands that prompted Stewart and Sasser to enter the altercation as multiple players and coaches from both teams joined in the melee.
