Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant will miss at least two weeks due to a right knee injury.
Morant tweaked his knee in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks on March 18 and has missed the Grizzlies’ two games since then. He will be reevaluated around April 7, three days before the regular season ends.
The electrifying guard is in the midst of a breakout season, averaging 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists. His presence on the court is beyond impactful, but the deep and talented Grizzlies have gone 15-2 in Morant’s absence this season.
Memphis (50-23) enters Thursday’s contest against the Indiana Pacers in the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies have nine games remaining.
