Can the Spurs break their losing skid against the Clippers tomorrow?

What’s up with the San Antonio Spurs?

The San Antonio Spurs are entering the fourth game of a five-game road trip where they have recorded three losses so far. It has been really brutal for the squad on the road and they now have to play the Clippers, who are looking to move up the West Conference ladder now that Kawhi Leonard is back.

The impressive 4-2 start by the Spurs is now only a distant memory as they have only won two out of their last 10 games, losing five away from home. Their latest loss was at the hands of the Sacramento Kings where they surrendered 130 or more points for the second time in three games.

As of now, San Antonio is the worst defensive team in the league, surrendering 120.2 points per game. The Spurs are allowing their opponents to shoot 50.2% from the field and 39.3% from deep.

They’re going into the matchup with a lot of difficulty as Keldon Johnson (ankle) missed the loss to the Kings. Meanwhile, Doug McDermott (calf), Devin Vassell (ankle), and Jakob Poeltl (knee) are probable for the game versus L.A.

What’s up with the Los Angeles Clippers?

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to improve to a 4-4 record at home. Leonard is back after a 12-game absence due to his surgically repaired knee. He had six points and four assists in 24 minutes of play against the Pistons, which is still considered a good sign for the Clippers.

Now with the two-time MVP back on the floor, we can expect this squad to finally be contenders for the title once again.

Paul George has been tremendous for the Clippers so far as he leads L.A with team highs of 23.8 points and 1.5 steals per game. He does this on top of his 6.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per match.

Prediction

The Clippers are the exact opposite of the Spurs as they hold opponents to 105.9 points per game. This is a bad look for the Spurs and they really need to push hard to find sources of offense.

The Spurs have the upper hand with more rest but we can see the Clippers becoming a huge roadblock for them.
