The Boston Celtics are trying to chase the Milwaukee Bucks to secure the coveted top seed in the East.

What’s up with the Boston Celtics?

Boston is currently sitting in second place in the East, just 2.5 games behind the Milwaukee Bucks.

If the Celtics have any real plans of securing the top seed in the East, a win over the Bucks in the final match of their season series should give them enough boost.

Boston didn’t do itself a favor though when they suffered a disheartening loss to the shorthanded Washington Wizards, who were missing Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma. The Celtics allowed the Wizards to shoot 54.5 percent from the floor while getting outrebounded and committing more turnovers.

If there’s one player to tear down the mighty Bucks, it would be Jayson Tatum, who leads the Celtics with an average of 30.1 PPG. He’ll also need a lot of help from Jaylen Brown, who is averaging 26.8 points every night.

What’s up with the Milwaukee Bucks?

The Bucks are currently the first seed in the East with a 54-21 record, having won seven of their last 10 games.

What makes the Bucks dangerous in this last stretch of regular season games is that they don’t really need to play their stars a lot of minutes for them to do major damage. A good sign of this is their recent victory over the Indiana Pacers where Jrue Holiday went for a career-best 51 points on a clean 20-for-30 shooting while Giannis Antetokounmpo grabbed a triple-double performance of 38 points, 17 boards, and 12 dimes.

They’re practically unstoppable at this point with the aggressive way they’re playing but we know that their defense isn’t exactly the most potent in the league. Let’s find out tomorrow if their scoring prowess is enough to stop the Celtics.

Prediction

This is going to be the third time these two teams meet, and they have won a game apiece. However, this one is a bit different since the Bucks may have some players out like Meyers Leonard and Jae Crowder. The Celtics might have more firepower to contain the Bucks’ offense.

In this case though, with less than 10 games left of the regular season, it’s guaranteed that Boston will be going all out to try and get the first seed and hold off the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics may have the pace to get this win.
