What’s up with the Chicago Bulls?
The Chicago Bulls are having a so-so start so far in their season. Right now, they are riding a four-game losing streak, the most recent of which was a painful 108-107 loss to the Orlando Magic where the Bulls nearly pulled off a win after trailing by as many as 19 points in the third quarter.
With their upcoming second game of a two-game road trip, the team could really need a win to turn things around. Chicago shouldn’t be too intimidated by the strong Celtics team because they have guys who can definitely put points on the scoreboard like DeMar DeRozan, who looks like he’s still very much in his prime with averages of 25.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. Zach Lavine and Nikola Vucevic are also leading the charge for Chicago as they average 20.7 points and 15.8 points, respectively.
What’s up with the Boston Celtics?
The Boston Celtics (13-3) are on a hot streak right now with nine wins in a row. We expect them to keep the momentum going as they go into the final game of their road trip, hoping to improve their impressive 7-2 road record.
We already know that Jayson Tatum will keep his stellar numbers as he averages 30.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. You also can’t forget the trusty Jaylen Brown who puts up 25.3 points per game and Al Horford with his own 11.5 point-average.
The Green jerseys are crushing the league right now as they score about 120.2 points per game, one of only two teams who are tallying at least 120 a night. Scoring has been really easy for them since they are also top 3 in field goals and 3-point shooting.
Prediction
The Celtics are showing no effects of an NBA Finals hangover, and they are currently proving why they are on top of the Eastern Conference mountain. They’re clearly the favorites of this matchup however, we need to remember that this would be their second meeting with the Bulls, who handed them one of their three losses.
This is the last of Boston’s three-game road trip and fatigue might come into the equation. In addition to that, Lavine is expected to bounce back after a tough outing in their previous game so stealing a dub from the very steady hands of Boston isn’t impossible.
