Durant scores 35 and Allen adds 26 as the Suns exhaust Raptors

The Phoenix Suns grabbed another win as Kevin Durant and Grayson Allen caught fire against the Toronto Raptors, 120-113.

Kevin Durant's game-high 35 points and Grayson Allen's 26 lifted the Phoenix Suns (37-26) to a 120-113 home win over the Toronto Raptors (23-40) on Friday, Philippine time.
Durant shot 11 of 19 from the field, but it was Allen who sparked the Suns’ offense as he set a franchise record of seven 3-pointers in the first quarter. His 21 points helped push the Suns to a 39-25 lead.
Bradley Beal had 20 points and eight assists for the Suns, who never trailed the Raptors. Other big contributors for Phoenix were Jusuf Nurkic with a game-high 14 rebounds, seven points, and five assists, plus Bol Bol's 11 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

The Suns were without their injured All-star guard Devin Booker, but they still managed to build a 14-point lead at halftime.

The Raptors cut the deficit to 89-82 entering the fourth and pulled within three with 7:59 left, but the Suns responded and pushed their lead back to up to 13 as it went on a 14-4 run in the last minutes of the match. Toronto wasn’t able to overcome the gap in the rest of the game.

Gary Trent Jr. led Toronto with 30 points. Immanuel Quickley added 21 points, and a game-high 18 assists.
RJ Barrett scored 23 for the Raptors while All-star Scottie Barnes was out as he recently had surgery on his fractured hand.

Currently, the Suns are the No. 6 team in the West, and are fighting to stay out of the play-in tournament. Meanwhile, the Raptors are 12th in the Eastern Conference standings, about three games away from the play-in area.
