Day 2 recap of Basketball Without Borders Asia 2022

Basketball Without Borders Asia campers participated in drills before scrimmaging with their respective teams.

Day 2 of the 12th edition of Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Asia organized by the NBA and FIBA started with the 60 campers from 15 countries and territories across Asia-Pacific warming up then grouped into their respective teams.

The boys were drafted into four teams: the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, New York Knicks and OklahomaCity Thunder; while the girls were split into the Los Angeles Sparks, Minnesota Lynx and Washington Mystics.

Campers took the court to participate in drills, including team offensive and defensive concepts, ball screen actions, and shot creation and finishing, before scrimmaging with their respective teams. After the exhibition games, participants engaged in a three-point shootout contest among their teammates.

The day concluded with current and former NBA, WNBA and FIBA players and coaches helping coach an NBA Cares youth clinic for boys and girls from Indigenous Basketball Australia (IBA) – a non-profit organization founded by Brooklyn Nets guard Patty Mills that provides pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth to play basketball.
