Clippers' Paul George suffers right elbow injury, will miss 3-4 weeks

The star forward will rest after tearing a ligament in his right elbow and will be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks.

Paul George will miss time with a right elbow injury, the Clippers announced.

LA Clippers forward Paul George suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, the team announced Sunday (PHT). George will rest and be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks, at which point next steps will be determined.

He missed five consecutive games this month after spraining his elbow on Dec. 7 (PHT) against the Portland Trail Blazers. George rehabbed and returned to play for the Clippers on Dec. 21 (PHT) against the San Antonio Spurs and two days later against the Sacramento Kings.

ESPN first reported the Clippers star experiencing some pain in his return and further testing revealed the torn ligament.

George, 31, is averaging 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.5. assists this season.
