Clippers hand Celtics’ second home loss after 19-point rout

The Los Angeles Clippers hand the Boston Celtics their second home loss of the season after a dominant 115-96 win at the TD Garden on Sunday (PHL).

 

The Clippers established a huge lead early on in the first half after an impressive defensive performance against the Celtics. 

 

 

 

 

Come the second half, the Clippers continued their onslaught against Boston, who were without star big man Kristaps Porzingis.

 

The game turned into a one-sided affair during the third quarter with a remarkable 21-0 run, highlighted by this Kawhi Leonard poster dunk over Luke Kornet.

 

 

 

 

Ultimately, the Clippers secured a commanding victory, leading by as many as 36 points.

 

Kawhi led the way for the Clippers with 26 points, seven rebounds, and two assists, while Daniel Theis and Paul George added 18 and 17 points, respectively.

 

The Clippers grabbed their 30th win in the season following their dominant victory, further cementing their spot in the top-4 of the West.

 

Jayson Tatum, meanwhile, had 21 points and 11 rebounds in the loss which ended the Celtic’s three-game winning streak. Boston dropped to 35-11 in the Eastern Conference.
