For the second time in two weeks, Jrue Holiday received another accolade.

Holiday was hailed as the 2025 NBA Social Justice champion for the first time in his career.

He beat Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat, Harrison Barnes of the San Antonio Spurs, Chris Boucher of the Toronto Raptors, and CJ McCollum (New Orleans Pelicans) to earn the distinction.

Besides taking home the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Trophy, the league also donated $100,000 to the Jrue and his wife Lauren's Social Impact Fund (JLH Fund).

The Boston Celtics champion guard became the latest recipient of the award given to the player who is “pursuing social justice and advancing Karem Abdul-Jabbar’s life mission to engage, empower and drive equality for individuals and groups who have been historically disadvantaged.”

Previous winners include Karl-Anthony Towns (2024), Stephen Curry (2023), Reggie Bullock (2022), and Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony (2021).

Just last week, the 34-year-old old earned the 2025 NBA Sportsmanship award for the second time to become the fifth multiple-time winner of the Joe Dumars Trophy.

“Since entering the league, Jrue Holiday has dedicated himself to helping others in their times of greatest need and pursuing a more just society for all,” NBA deputy commissioner and chief operating officer Mark Tatum said in a statement.

He added: “The selflessness that defines his game is even more evident in the work he and his wife Lauren do off the floor to create more opportunities for a generation of youth who might have otherwise been overlooked.”

Holiday and the Celtics, however, are just two wins away from elimination after blowing out another 20-point lead and fell to a 0-2 hole in their East semifinal duel against the New York Knicks.
