Boston Celtics’ Jrue Holiday claimed the 2024-25 NBA Sportsmanship award for the second time in his career.

Holiday earned the distinction — given to the "player who best represents the ideals of sportsmanship on the court" —   for the second time. He first got the nod in 2021 while still playing for the Milwaukee Bucks.

It marked the latest achievement to the 34-year-old’s stellar basketball resume that includes two titles, two Olympic gold medals, two All-Star selections, and six All-Defensive Team nods.

He received 134 first place votes for a total of 3,046 points, beating Cleveland’s Jarret Allen (2,704) and Dallas’ Kyrie Irving (2,640) for the award.

Holiday thus joined Mike Conley, Grant Hill, and Jason Kidd, and Kemba Walker as the only players to win the award multiple times.

Conley holds the record for the most NBA Sportsmanship nods with four, having taken home the honor four times in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2023.

Hill (2005, 2008, 2009) followed suit with three three while Kidd (2012, 2013) and Walker (2017, 2018) have two apiece.

Boston, who completed a five-game conquest of the Orlando Magic in their East opening round duel, will face the New York Knicks in the semifinal round.
